It's clear that it's for those who want to enjoy just the story, plain and simple. There are also other options like defeating enemies in one hit, but I didn't really touch this section much, I didn't feel it was necessary, nor did the enemies overwhelm me so much for it. I want to add that in the options you can change the frequency of encounters, from many to completely null although the game itself does not recommend it, of course, because then we may not have enough level for some of the mandatory fights, like a boss for example. If the bar fills up, we will enter combat. As we travel through the areas, we'll have a danger meter that indicates how likely a random confrontation with enemies is. This makes for a fairly linear experience, especially since there aren't that many areas in the game for anything else. The former is the weakest part of the game in my opinion, as the maps are quite short and with no nooks and crannies to investigate, with a few chests and side quests scattered around. Gameplay is split between exploration and combat, nothing out of the ordinary. While it has it's own approach, the plot is fairly usual and classic, though it fulfills its goal of entertaining of course. She must then take on the troops of the Mono-Mind mega-corp, rescue her father, and try to stop them from getting his research in the process. But between one of her jobs, she receives a call for help from her father, and gets involved in a conspiracy bigger than she would believe. The story puts us in the role of Noa, a hacker who performs various tasks with her partner, Ryder. It's a game I had high hopes for, and it didn't betray my expectations, but I must say that while I think it's great, it left me unsatisfied in terms of duration, and I was left with a great desire to continue in its little world. I can't deny that it was mostly because of its pixel art aesthetics, which boasts fluid animations and a very noticeable charisma, but it also picked my interest from the JRPG side, with its turn-based combat, endearing characters and a story fit to the setting. Jack Move had me very interested since I tried its demo before release.
